Terms of Service
_Last updated: 2026-05-14._
These Terms govern your use of solotunnel ("the Service"), operated by the
publisher of <https://github.com/pelithne/myvpn>.
1. The service
solotunnel lets you spin up a personal WireGuard VPN server in a region of
your choice. Each VPN server is dedicated to your account — it is not
shared with other users.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Attack, scan, or otherwise interfere with third-party systems.
- Send unsolicited bulk email (spam).
- Distribute malware or content that is illegal in the jurisdiction
where the egress VPN server is hosted.
- Circumvent legally binding sanctions.
We reserve the right to terminate any VPN server (and the underlying
account) that violates these rules. Because we do not log traffic
(see How it works), enforcement is reactive:
typically triggered by an abuse report we receive from the hosting
provider.
3. Plans and billing
- Basic plan ($3/month): up to 3 GB/month, 1 device.
- Standard plan ($6/month): up to 10 GB/month, 1 device.
- Premium plan ($12/month): up to 30 GB/month, 3 devices.
Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. You can cancel any time from
the customer portal (Account → Manage billing). Cancellation takes
effect at the end of the current billing period.
We do not offer pro-rated refunds for partial months. If you believe
you've been billed in error, contact support.
When you purchase a plan, we ask you to tick a box that says
_"Start my service right away. I'm waiving my right to cancel for a
refund later (however, unused data this month rolls over as credit
toward next month's payment)."_
Ticking the box is required to complete the purchase. You're asking
us to deliver the service immediately and to keep delivering it for
the period you paid for — and you agree not to claim a refund later
just because you changed your mind. This does not affect any refund
rights you may have if the service fails to work as described, or if
the law of your country gives you stronger rights that cannot be
waived by contract.
The rollover credit is computed at the end of each billing period:
if you used less than your monthly data cap, a proportional credit
(up to 90% of your monthly price) is applied to your next invoice.
Credits do not accumulate beyond one cycle, and unused credit is
forfeited when a subscription ends.
4. Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not offer an uptime SLA. Paid
plans get best-effort prioritisation during incidents.
The underlying cloud provider that hosts each tunnel is our largest
dependency. Region-level outages there are outside our control; you
can mitigate by activating a VPN in a different region.
5. Data and privacy
See the Privacy policy and
How it works. In short: we store enough to bill
you and run your VPN — nothing about what you do over it.
6. Termination
You can delete your account at any time by deleting all VPN servers
and emailing support to remove the account row. We will delete:
- Your
usersrow (email, password hash, Stripe IDs, plan). - Any remaining
vpnInstancesrows.
Stripe retains its own billing record per its retention policy, which
is independent of solotunnel.
7. Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. To the maximum
extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related
to the Service is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months
preceding the claim.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced via the
email on file at least 14 days before they take effect.
